Style B: 2″ Threaded Ring Set
Each Style B: 2″ Threaded Ring Set consists of one male thread and one female thread. Threaded ring sets are used to make vessels, jars, urns, etc while having metal threads to securely connect the lid and base. The stepped male ring gives you metal to metal meet up when closed instead of wood to wood. For Style B Rings the female ring has a knurl on the outside/major diameter when the male has the knurl on the inside/minor diameter. This makes it a mortise/tenon project since you will be boring a hole for the female ring and turning a tenon for the male ring. The knurl is to help for the best glue adhesion as possible. We are currently recommending West System G/Flex 650 epoxy. Compared to the Devcon Home this has a higher % in elasticity for the expanding and contracting of the wood.
