Style A: 1.5″ Threaded Ring Set
Each Style A: 1.5″ Threaded Ring Set consists of one male thread and one female thread. Threaded ring sets are used to make vessels, jars, urns, etc while having metal threads to securely connect the lid and base. The stepped male ring gives you metal to metal meet up when closed instead of wood to wood. For Style A rings the major diameter on both the male and female ring is knurled. This makes it a mortise/mortise project since you will be boring a hole on both sides to glue the rings in. The knurl is to help with for the best glue adhesion as possible. We are currently recommending West System G/Flex 650 epoxy. Compared to the Devcon Home this has a higher % in elasticity for the expanding and contracting of the wood.
